Richard Hare

Richard B. Hare is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. (NYSE:HVT). His responsibilities include the oversight of finance and accounting, treasury, tax, risk management, financial planning & analysis, investor relations and real estate.

Mr. Hare previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Carmike Cinemas (NASDAQ:CKE); one of the largest motion picture exhibitors in the United States, from March 2006 until it was acquired by AMC Entertainment Holdings (NYSE:AMC) in December 2016.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Hare currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gray Television (NYSE:GTN) in Atlanta, Georgia where he serves as the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Hare currently serves on the Business Inflation Panel for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and on the Board of Directors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta.

Mr. Hare holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Accounting from Auburn University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
