Mark W. Tipton has been actively involved in the Banking Industry for approximately 40 years, having served in senior positions with Regional Banks in Texas and Georgia. In 2003, he Co-Founded Georgia Commerce Bank, where he was Chairman and CEO until it was acquired by IBERIABANK in 2015. He currently serves as the Georgia Regional President for IBERIABANK/First Horizon.
Mr. Tipton is a current member of Tulane University’s Board of Trustees. In the community, he serves on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, where he is a three-time past Board Chair. Additionally, he is a member of the Georgia Tennis Foundation Board, the Skyland Trail Board, the Carter Center Board of Councilors and the Constantine Housing Initiative (CHI) Board of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1978 and an MBA from Baylor University in 1981.
Mr. Tipton and his wife, Diana, reside in Atlanta.
