Kevin Greiner has served as Gas South’s President and CEO since the company’s founding in 2006. Gas South is one of the southeast’s largest energy marketers and provides natural gas to over 425,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in competitive markets. In December 2020, Gas South announced the acquisition of Infinite Energy, which more than doubled its revenues to nearly $1 billion and made the company the largest retail natural gas provider in Georgia and Florida. Gas South also operates a growing wholesale energy marketing operation and is an owner/investor in several solar energy projects. Since its founding, Gas South has nearly tripled its customer base, while also growing its sales volumes and workforce by over 400%.
Gas South’s purpose is to be a Fuel for Good, which is predicated on caring for its customers and employees and elevating its industry and the communities it serves. As part of its community commitment, Gas South pledges to give back 5% of its profits to organizations helping children in need and has established a goal investing $50m in solar energy projects by the end of 2023. The company has been recognized by the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta numerous times, including receiving the inaugural Social Justice IMPACT Award in 2020. Gas South was also honored as the inaugural recipient of goBeyondProfit’s Community Champion award in 2019 and as the YMCA of Metro Atlanta’s Corporate Partner of the Year in 2021. Kevin was also recognized by The Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of their 2021 Most Admired CEOs.
Kevin earned an MBA and MS in natural resource policy from the University of Michigan and a BA from Wesleyan University. His hobbies include playing tennis, scuba diving, playing the keyboards, and traveling the world with family and friends. He and his wife, Robyn Roberts, have two children and live in Decatur, Georgia.
