Johnson Cook is the co-founder and president of Atlanta-based Greenlight Financial Technology, the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. Greenlight offers an award-winning banking app for families that helps parents teach their kids and teens how to earn, save, spend wisely, invest, and more. The company serves more than 6.5 million parents and kids, who have collectively saved and invested more than $700 million towards their financial futures. Greenlight also partners with more than 100 leading banks, brands, credit unions, and employers to bring its family finance solution to more families through the Greenlight for Banks, Greenlight for Credit Unions, and Greenlight for Work programs. Greenlight has raised more than $560 million from investors Andreessen Horowitz, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Truist Bank, Synchrony Bank, Ally Bank, Live Oak Bank, Wellington Management, TTV Capital, Canapi Ventures, Relay Ventures, and others.
Mr. Cook’s entrepreneurial spirit began at Georgia Tech where he met his wife and started his first company. Johnson was a partner in the launch of the Atlanta Tech Village, is a past President of Entrepreneurs Organization Atlanta (EO), and has been recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur Of The Year. He is an angel investor, a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a Trustee of the Woodruff Arts Center, and an active member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Johnson is also a licensed pilot and loves to sail catamarans with his wife and three teenagers.
