Gary Peacock is Chairman/Founder of both Whiskey Rebellion Ventures and CH&ELIER (CHANDELIER) Investment Limited. Whiskey Rebellion Ventures is focused on early-stage, high growth premium whiskey distilleries in the United States and is both acquiring ownership positions and providing growth and executional advice to optimize investor returns. CH&ELIER Investment Limited is engaged in providing early-stage capital and strategic contrarian financings to founders focused on emerging technologies in areas such as advanced spacecraft and space travel, financial technology, bio and medical technology, and climate tech.

Previously, Mr. Peacock enjoyed a 40+ career as a successful executive in the financial services industry primarily in banking. Previously, Mr. Peacock served as Chairman, President, and CEO of the South Banking Division of SunTrust Banks, Inc., the largest and most profitable business at the company. In that role, he provided executive oversight to a multitude of Regional Banks and bank leadership teams located in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Prior to that, Mr. Peacock led SunTrust’s flagship bank in Metro Atlanta. Mr. Peacock also has significant capital markets experience having served as SunTrust’s Treasurer and Investors Relations Executive for many years. In those roles, he was the primary connection to the company’s equity and debt relationships on Wall Street, including M&A/investment banking, institutional investors, and debt and equity analysts. Earlier is his career, Mr. Peacock spent 15+ years at Barnett Banks, Inc. as a senior executive in many roles, engaged in the strategy and execution leading to company growth from $5 billion to $45 billion in size.

Mr. Peacock balances his career with investments in community and business organizations. Mr. Peacock currently serves on the board of directors of the Georgia Aquarium, the Woodruff Arts Center, the University of Florida, and the Atlanta United Negro College Fund. Previously, Mr. Peacock has held board positions at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce (Treasurer, Executive Committee, Chairman Economic Development), United Way of Greater Atlanta (Chairman Loaned Executives Program), and Central Atlanta Progress (Executive Committee). He also continues his membership in the Buckhead Coalition and the Commerce Club in Atlanta. Mr. Peacock holds a bachelors degree in business (finance) from the University of Florida and a masters degree in business (finance and marketing) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
