As CEO and founder of Arkadios Capital, David Millican has built a hybrid independent broker-dealer that oversees more than $3.5 billion. As a former advisor himself, he is committed to building a platform through the advisor’s perspective. In 2019, Financial Planning magazine recognized Arkadios as the fastest-growing IBD in the country, and in 2020 honored again with several awards that included highest revenue growth, high-end advisors and growth in producing advisors.
Prior to Founding Arkadios Capital, David served as Principal Managing Partner for ACG Wealth, an independent wealth advisory firm he co-founded in 2002. Under David’s leadership, ACG acquired 14 Registered Independent Advisory firms, catapulting it to one of the fastest growing RIAs in the country, with more than $2 billion in assets under management. In 2013, ACG was recognized by Forbes Magazine as their “Top Emerging RIA.” He began his career in 1996 with A.G. Edwards and Sons and later joined Morgan Keegan and Co., where he became one of the firm’s top financial advisors.
Millican earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama. He serves as a director of the Buckhead Coalition, an economic development and civic organization. An Atlanta native, he and his four children; Liza, Ellie, John and William, currently live in Buckhead.
