David B. Songy

David B. Songy co-founded Songy Highroads, LLC (SHR) in Atlanta, Georgia in 2011. Mr. Songy serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SHR with overall responsibility for sourcing the company’s acquisitions and capital. Mr. Songy and SHR’s President Mr. Todd Nocerini have been partners over 28 years, completing over $2B of acquisitions in the Southeast, Texas and Mid-Atlantic markets. Recent projects include a 335 key Margaritaville Lake Resort & Spa just outside of Houston; 4 acquisitions with over 650 units of multifamily product in Atlanta; a 218-key Hyatt Centric /Lenox Mall development in Buckhead, Atlanta; and a 7 building office portfolio in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA.
In his early career, Mr. Songy served for six years as Regional Partner for Barker-Patrinely Group, Inc.,
headed by former Hines executives, in charge of business development, project management, leasing, and financing in S. Florida. Projects included the $53 million Miami Arena for the Miami Heat in downtown Miami; the $65 million Columbus Center office project, Coral Gables; and $35 million Cypress Financial Center in Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Songy received his M.B.A. in Finance concentrated on Multi-National Corporate Studies throughout Germany, and B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
Mr. Songy Civic Duties have included serving as Board Member of Whitefield Academy Campus Development Committee, Atlanta Youth Academy Board Member/ Campus Development Director, and The Atlanta Dream Center (Frontline Response) Board Member/ Campus Development Director. Mr. Songy has served on LSU’s Business School Advisory Board since 2008.
