A Message From Buckhead Coalition Chair Jonathan D. Rodbell
I am deeply honored to take the helm as chairman of the Buckhead Coalition, and I look forward to collaborating with our members who share a commitment to the well-being of our neighborhoods and Buckhead’s place within the City of Atlanta.
We have a strong foundation for continued success. I attribute much of that to my predecessor, Eric Tanenblatt, who served as our chairman from 2023 to 2025. Eric helped guide us during two important years. Through his leadership and the Coalition’s collaborative efforts, Buckhead is stronger, safer and more united. I also want to especially thank our president and CEO, Jim Durrett, for his ongoing leadership and tireless efforts on behalf of the Buckhead Coalition.
I pledge as chairman to continue the strides we have made together and help build an even better Buckhead. At the center of this work is our collaboration among members. The breadth of talent, expertise, and relationships of our members continues to drive our success in improving the quality of life in Buckhead.
In recent years, this collaborative focus has achieved great success. We have rebuilt our relationship with Atlanta City Hall and now have a strong, communicative partnership with Mayor Dicks. He spends a lot of time in Buckhead and listens to our ideas, concerns, and observations.
Public safety is another key focus area for us in 2025. Our ongoing partnership with the Atlanta Police Department has helped make Buckhead a safer community. This is clearly reflected in the consistent decrease in crime rates in Buckhead’s Zone 2 over the past four years.
We have also made real strides on city services and zoning matters that impact our neighborhoods and businesses. Regarding transportation and infrastructure, key streets and sidewalks in Buckhead are being repaved and improved. The Coalition is enthusiastically committed to ongoing planning and development led by our partners at the Buckhead CID and Livable Buckhead, which will add green space and walkability in Buckhead and reconnect communities divided by highways.
In closing, I am thrilled to welcome our new 2025 members. Their membership is a testament to the recognition of the Buckhead Coalition’s impact. We look forward to collaborating to continue making Buckhead the most vibrant and welcoming community in America.
