Douglas E. McMahon

Doug McMahon is co-founder, partner and senior managing director of NEXUS Luxury Collection where he focuses on the company’s luxury real estate and consumer-facing businesses. Tavistock Group is one of the largest investors in NEXUS Luxury Collection.
Along with Christopher Anand, CEO and managing partner of NEXUS Luxury Collection, Doug was part of the original leadership team that designed and built Albany in The Bahamas, considered one of the most successful luxury residential and resort developments.
Doug currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Wellington Lifestyle Partners, backed by NEXUS, who is planning, designing and will build the new, nearly 400-acre private club community in western Palm Beach County called The Wellington Equestrian & Golf Club. McMahon is also a senior managing director of Tavistock Group.
Doug was instrumental in leading the turnaround of The St. Regis Atlanta Hotel & Residences and is responsible for the 600-acre golf club community of Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. Doug also helped create the highly acclaimed and award-winning Atlas Restaurant in Atlanta.
Doug led the opening of the private members club of NEXUS Club New York in lower Manhattan and the group’s construction and establishment of the first T-Squared Social bar and restaurant in New York City, in collaboration with NEXUS shareholders Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods.
Joining Tavistock Group in 2003, Doug also played an integral role in the creation and operations of Tavistock Cup from 2004-2014 and the revitalization of Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in 2004-08, and served on the US Assure Board of Directors from 2014-2024, the FTSE company Mitchells & Butlers plc Board of Directors from 2010-2015. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Publicis and Executive Vice President and General Manager of J. Walter Thompson New York. He was also Chief Marketing Officer at NBC/Universal’s CNBC unit.
Doug currently serves on the Assurance America board of directors and the Guy Millner Family Foundation.
Doug and his wife Molly grew up in Atlanta and have four grown children.
