David Leiter

David is the Managing Partner of KPMG’s three Atlanta Offices as well as the MidSouth Hub which includes Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham, Knoxville, and Jackson. He is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality client service, executing business development strategies, attracting and retaining exceptional talent, and representing the Firm in the marketplace and community. He has previously served as the Business Unit Partner in Charge for Tax for various geographies as well as lead partner on numerous FORTUNE 1000 and other publicly traded and private companies. During his career, David has also served in leadership roles related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404, ASC 740, FIN 48, and tax technology.

Professional and industry experience
David has over 30 years of experience in serving a broad range of multinational clients. He has been responsible for many projects in the multinational tax area including the global coordination of tax services to a broad range of KPMG’s audit and non-audit clients. He also has been involved in rendering services in other areas of corporate tax planning such as mergers and acquisitions, capital sourcing, people development, knowledge management, implementation of multijurisdictional financing structures, earnings and profits studies, dispositions of global operating units, corporate-wide reorganizations, the international tax aspects of trade and customs engagements, and other related tax matters.
