Buckhead CID
History
The Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) was formed in 1999 due to the efforts of the Buckhead Coalition and has funded projects and programs addressing transportation needs and other aspects of the public realm that have set the stage for Buckhead’s commercial core to be a more walkable, livable urban center. For its first twenty years the BCID was an independent entity. In 2020 the BCID became a program of the Buckhead Coalition, bringing both organizations closer together. The BCID maintains an independent board of directors separate from the Buckhead Coalition.

Mission
The mission of the Buckhead CID is to create and maintain a more accessible and livable urban environment. We meet the challenges of growth by investing tax dollars collected from commercial property owners within the district, as well as other funds we leverage from outside the district, to make meaningful improvements in the transportation network and public realm that connect people and places.
