Buckhead Coalition Hosts Annual Luncheon with Keynote Speech by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens

ATLANTA – March 30, 2022 – The Buckhead Coalition, an influential nonprofit corporation that advocates on behalf of the Buckhead community, today celebrated its annual luncheon which included remarks from Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Buckhead Coalition Chair Juanita Baranco and Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts.
Hosted at Flourish Atlanta, the invitation-only event was attended by business owners, community leaders, public officials, civic representatives and members of the media to commemorate the coalition’s fellowship and contributions.
The meeting included an announcement of the Coalition’s newest members who were elected unanimously including Steve Fisher, president and CEO of Novelis Inc.; Katie Kirkpatrick, president and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber; Claire Sterk, president emerita and professor at Emory University; Jeffrey Shell, president of Shell McElroy Construction Company, LLC; Berwyn J. “BJ” Green, executive vice president of Cadence Bank; J.P. Matzigkeit, CAO of Wahoo Fitness; Seth McDaniel, CEO of Frazier & Deeter, LLC.; and Brittain Prigge, president of Balentine.
Keynote speaker Mayor Andre Dickens discussed his collaboration with the Buckhead Coalition which has yielded several results to increase public safety such as the West Village Atlanta Police Department precinct and the newly announced repeat offender tracking unit which was partially funded through a donation from the Coalition. Additionally, the mayor detailed his work to lobby for more parks funding and add infrastructure improvements such as streetlamps and sidewalks.
