Douglas L. Williams

Mr. Williams is President, Atlanta Banking Group | Head, Corporate Banking for SouthState Bank.  He serves on the boards of Good Samaritan Health Center, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Buckhead Coalition. He is a former Chairman of the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and was its representative to the CDIAC of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Previously, Mr. Williams served on the boards of the ABA Securities Association, the Visiting Nurse Association of Metropolitan Atlanta, the High Museum of Art, the Global Business Leaders Roundtable at the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, Young Life Northwest Atlanta, and Whitefield Academy and was an advisor to the Administrative Committee of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Mr. Williams graduated with a BS in Finance from Auburn University with honors and completed management development programs at the Colgate Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
